A single theme is taken through several contrasting sections, featuring all voices in the band along the way. The energy never lags; even as the piece seems to be slowing down to a lyrical contrasting theme, the listeners' expectations are dashed as this irrepressible work launches back into the opening material. A great showcase for a band with solid sections throughout, especially in the alto line.
